How does Advantage®II work?

Advantage®II is not absorbed into the bloodstream. When applied to the base of your cat's skull, it becomes trapped in the oils of the cat's skin and spreads rapidly over the entire surface. Upon contact with the treated skin and fur, adult fleas, eggs, and larvae are paralyzed and die.

Advantage® II doesn't just kill adult fleas on contact. The product also contains pyriproxyfen, an insect growth regulator, which is distributed throughout your home via the cat's fur and skin. This prevents flea eggs and larvae from developing to the next stage of their life cycle, effectively killing them.

How to apply to your cat
