INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Initial Setup
Before first use, remove the cap (A), pull out the battery tab (B), and replace the cap. The thermometer is now ready for use.

2. Lubricate the Tip
Lubricate the sterile tip of the thermometer with petroleum jelly (or a similar safe lubricant).

3. Correct Positioning:
Ideally, rectal temperature readings should be taken with two people. Hold the animal firmly to prevent it from sitting. Gently lift its tail and slowly insert the metal tip of the thermometer into the rectum. Inserting it too deeply could cause injury.

4. Taking the Temperature:
The thermometer will beep when the measurement is complete. Read and record the displayed temperature. If it does not beep within 60 seconds, remove it and try again.

5. Finish with praise
Gently remove the thermometer and praise your pet to create a positive experience.

6. Turn off
Press the on/off button (C) to save battery power.

7. Cleaning after use:
Clean the thermometer tip with warm, soapy water. Disinfect it with rubbing alcohol. Pat it dry and store it in its plastic case.
